Marianna Aivazova

Marianna Aivazova gave her first solo concert at the age of eight with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Jemal Gokieli. She continued her education at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with Professor Vera Gornostaeva. Aivazova graduated as a soloist in 1987 and obtained a higher diploma and master's degree as a pianist accompanist and pedagogue.

Closely related to Dimitri Bashkirov, professor of piano at the Reina Sofía School of Music until his death in 2021, the pianist considers him her mentor and source of inspiration in her creative and teaching process.

The pianist has performed in Denmark, Holland, Poland, Germany, France, Greece, and Russia with the Duo Classico, which she founded in 2005, at the Chamber Music Festival in Comillas, Caprichos Musicales and the "Nature and Music" Festival in Salacgriva (Latvia), where she continues her annual cooperation as a masterclass teacher and performer to this day.

Pedagogy has always been an integral part of her career. Marianna Aivazova has taught at the International Centre for Musical Arts, Maria Callas Conservatory in Athens, the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska in Madrid and, since 2016, she has been teaching piano and chamber music at the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio (UAX) and the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Musical (CARM) in Madrid.

In 2015 she took part in the 39th International Grand Prix Maria Callas Competition as general secretary and member of the jury and a year later she attended the 4th Young Musicians Competition "The Mood" in Moscow.
