Felix Renggli

Born in Basel, he studied with Gerhard Hildenbrand, Peter-Lukas Graf, and Aurèle Nicolet. Likewise, his training with Heinz Holliger deeply shaped his musical career. He was flute soloist at the Symphony Orchestra of St. Gallen and has played with orchestras such as the Luzern Festival Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon, and Europe Chamber Orchestra; as well as with the Ensemble Contrechamps, Holliger Woodwind Quintet, and Nova Stravaganza. He has recorded for the radio and CDs for record labels such as Philips, Koch International, Accord, Stradivarius, and Discover. In 1994, he suceeds Peter-Lukas Graf at the Musikhochschule Basel, where he currently teaches flute; and from 2004 to 2014, he taught at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Since 1999, he is also the Artistic Director of the “Swiss Chamber Concerts” series in Switzerland.
