Sara Galán


Sara Galán was born in Madrid in 1990. She began her musical training at the Centro Integrado de San Lorenzo de El Escorial and continued her higher bassoon studies at Musikene, where she was taught by great bassoon masters.

A member of prestigious youth orchestras such as the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (JORCAM), the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Sara Galán has worked with outstanding national and international maestros during her professional career, in which she has been a member of leading national ensembles, including the Orquesta de Córdoba, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla and the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM), of which she is currently Soloist. In addition, Sara Galán has collaborated with the Orquesta Nacional de España, the Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid in different tours around Europe, America and the Middle East.

Sara Galán has also performed in several concerts as a soloist, both in Spain and in Germany, and complements her profile as a concert performer with an extensive career in chamber ensembles.

As a teacher, Sara Galán has given master classes and bassoon courses both in Spain and America.
