Schubertiades in the 21st Century

The project consisted of a concert in an alternative space, with a format that seeks to renew the classical concert and aimed at attracting new audiences, recovering the participatory spirit of the schubertiadas of the 19th century. From a varied programme in terms of repertoire and chamber ensembles, the audience was able to choose, through the Kahoot! app, which work they preferred to listen to in the programme. The concert was performed for the benefit of CEAR (Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid).

Students: Jacobo Christensen (violin), Adriaan Rijnhout (violin), Sara Valencia (violin) and David Tinoco (double bass).

Objectives:

  • Renewal of the classical concert format.
  • Bringing classical music closer to new audiences.
  • To promote a more attractive concert model for the performers themselves.
