In compliance with the Organic Act 28/2005 of December 26, on Health Measures against Nicotine Poisoning and to Regulate the Sale, Supply, Consumption and Marketing of Tobacco Products (i) (LO 28/2005); as well as with the Organic Act 11/2010 of December 17, on Preemption of the Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages by Underage People (ii) (LO 11/2010); and taking into account that these laws ban, respectively, the sale of tobacco and alcohol to underage people; underage students are not allowed to smoke or drink alcoholic beverages during the Summer Camp, neither in the Camp facilities nor outside. In case any underage student breaches this rule, it will be considered as a serious misconduct and may lead to a sanction, to be determined by the Summer Camp’s Board of Directors.

Out of respect towards teachers and students all cell phones must be completely switched off whenever any activity is taking place, be it an individual or group instrumental class, a trip or a conference. All the teachers and supervisors will specifically check the compliance with this rule, so that the use of any mobile device, which may interfere with any activity of the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024, will be considered a serious misconduct. Particularly, the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 Board reserves the right to ban the use of any electric device that may interfere with the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 activities, or to constrain the students’ use of these devices.

In order to take care of the buildings, specifically prepared for the optimum efficiency of any instrumental, academic and artistic aspects, the participants must take maximum care of all the facilities.

Eating and drinking are only allowed at the Students’ Room, the morning and afternoon snack rooms and the dining room. Breaking this rule will be considered a serious misconduct.

Out of respect towards the participants who are working on the classrooms and cabins, all corridors must be kept still.

Students will have to behave properly in the Reina Sofía School of Music building, as well as in the rest of the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 facilities. In particular, it is important to note that any behavior against decorum in the main foyer of the Reina Sofía School of Music will be considered as a serious misconduct.

 

LOST ITEMS

The Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 will not be held accountable for any loss of personal objects, either inside or outside the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 facilities. It is not allowed to leave personal objects in the classrooms, cabins, or any other areas other than the lockers and/or the rooms.

 

MANDATORY CLASS ASSITANCE

 It is compulsory for all participants to attend all lessons, unless the absence happens under particular circumstances and is completely justified.

 

PUNCTUALITY

The Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 strongly emphasizes punctuality, as it is considered key for the personal development and an element of respect towards the class, teachers and classmates. There will be a 5 minutes tolerance policy to be determined by the teacher. Any longer delay will be considered an unexcused absence.

 

During the first weekend, students will be given surf lessons by a qualified surf company which will provide professional surf teachers.  Moreover, the students will be watched over by our monitors. This activity is not mandatory. If the student does not want to participate, please inform the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024  team.

 

BEHAVIOUR

The lack of a positive attitude towards the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 activities or any attitude which may interfere with the normal development of the Camp may be considered a misconduct and lead to a sanction.

 

INSTRUMENTS

Students will be responsible for their personal instruments. The Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 will not be held accountable for those instruments.

 

INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Students will be responsible for an adequate use of the Internet and social media during the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024. They will refrain, at their own risk, from using the connection facilitated by the Young Artists Summer Camp 2024 for any unappropriated or improper ends.
