Ana Paula Pantea Rada

Soprano lirigo-legera, born in Portimão, Portugal, in 2001. During the 2022-2023 academic year, she studied at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s “Alfredo Kraus” Fundación Ramón Areces Voice Chair with professor Susan Bullock CBE.

She began her music studies at the age of ten, with piano, choir and solfege lessons at the Portimão Joly Braga Santos Conservatory, continuing them with singing with professor Joana Godinho at the Évora Regional Conservatory and at the Escola Superior de Música in Lisbon with professor Siphiwer McKenzie. She studied her last year, as an Erasmus student, at the Madrid Singing School with professors Elena Valdelomar and Ricardo Francia. She has also attended masterclasses by Ulrike Sonntag, Elizabeth Pacheco Rose, Ekaterina Antipova, Olena Sloia, Anne Sofie Von Otter, and Adrian Thompson.

In addition to participating in several concerts, she has also sung as soloist with piano and orchestra and has worked with maestros such as Jorge Salgueiro, Paulo Lourenço and José Gómez.

She has participated in Henry Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” (choir), Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” (choir) conducted by Silvia Mateus, Menotti’s “Amahl and the night visitor” (Amahl) conducted by Diego Carvajal and Federico Torroba’s “Luisa Fernanda” (Duquesa Carolina).
