Sonja Kowollik

Born in Bottrop, Germany, in 2001. She studies with Claudio Martínez Mehner and Nina Tichman at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne, and in the 2021-2022 academic year she was an exchange student at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy with Matti Raekallio. She has attended masterclasses by Robert Levin, Andreas Staier, Robert McDonald, and Georg Friedrich Schenck. She is a scholar at the International Music Academy of Liechtenstein, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, and the Jürgen Ponto Stiftung, among others, and has been awarded the GWK 2021 Music Prize. She has also been invited to perform at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the BeethovenFest Bonn, as well as in prestigious venues such as the Cologne Philharmonic, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Bellevue Castle Berlin, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and the Beethovenhaus Bonn.
