Open call for pitches “La Clásica Innova”


Are you an artist or manager in the classical music sector and you have started or have an idea for an innovative project?

Would you like to give it visibility and share it with a specialised audience?

This is your chance! We invite you to take the stage at the Sony Auditorium of the Reina Sofía School of Music on 20 October 2022 to present your project at the IV Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Classical Music Conference organised in collaboration with the Fundación Banco Sabadell and Edmond de Rothschild Foundations.

Who can participate?

The call is open to any student, professional or organisation in the field of Classical music with an innovative proposal, regardless of its stage of completion.

Which projects can be submitted?

Projects in the Classical music sector that present artistic innovation (development of new audiences, creation of new formats, interdisciplinarity, etc.), social innovation (collaboration with vulnerable groups, educational and social projects, promotion of diversity and inclusion, etc.), environmental innovation (music as a tool for raising environmental awareness, etc.), technological innovation (integration of new technologies in the teaching, creation or dissemination of classical music), among others.

What will the selected project achieve?

You will present your project at the IV Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Classical Music Conference on 20 October 2022 with a 5-minute pitch (a total of 10 minutes will be dedicated to the project, including the introduction and questions):

  • You will share the stage with Cristina Pato, Alasdair Tait, Juan Pérez Floristán and representatives of key organisations in the sector.
  • You will present your project to an in-person and online audience with a special interest in the development of Classical music.
  • You will receive a training session to prepare your presentation.
  • You will receive up to 200 euros for travel expenses (the presentation can be in person in Madrid or online).

The selected project will be announced on 7 October 2022.
