COUPERIN, François
Concert royal no. 1 for violin, flute, oboe, viol and bassoon in G major (version for oboe and basso continuo)
IV. Gavotte. Notes égales et coulées
Ramón Ortega Quero, professor
Manuela Candela Muñoz, oboe
Candela Pérez González, bassoon
Alina Artemyeva, harpsichord
For this movement, Ramón Ortega suggests a slightly faster tempo. As in previous passages, there is a rhythmic figure where the articulation must be very clear, while the rest can be played in a more cantabile style.
He gives performance tips to make it sound more French rather than German. The professor also points out where the peak of the tension lies, after which it should be released as the movement moves toward its conclusion.
