Ramón Ortega Quero, professor
Jimena Miranda Claveria, student

The professor congratulates the student after her performance and, in general terms, points out a lack of control over intonation. He advises her to be more active and attentive in this regard, to find the correct pitch placement for each note depending on its harmonic function, dynamics, air support, reed response, and so on.
He also recommends, more broadly, seeking greater color in the sound by exploring different textures — a hallmark of this French repertoire. She should use more expressive tools and increase volume in the louder dynamics.
They then go back to the beginning to work through more specific details, focusing primarily on phrasing and on fine-tuning the intonation note by note. This process helps build the sensory memory needed for accurate performance (though she'll often need to adjust the pitch upwards, that won’t always be the case).
